Announcements
{Last Updated 13 October 2009}
This section of the MBS web page gives us an opportunity to post updates and relevant information to survey participants in a timely manner without resorting to mass mailings. The vast majority of MBS participants have personal computers and internet connections and for those not connected we believe most public libraries in the state have on-line computer service and assistance. Please check this portion of the web page regularly and make note of the date when announcements have last been updated. Please feel welcome to get hold of us as well via email (preferable) or phone with questions or suggestions (see MBS Staff).
2009 Specimen Vouchers & Image Vouchers - I have started to receive the first seasonal shipments of 2009 specimens (and have been receiving digital vouchers from some of you since the beginning of 'summer' - such as it was). As you submit your final season vouchers, let me remind everyone to email me the approximate total number of vouchers (please specify the number of specimens vs the number of image vouchers you are submitting). This will allow us to more easily complete the necessary USFWS forms for voucher shipment, and it will also give Reggie a heads up in terms of how much time he will need to block out for determinations/confirmations/data entry.
Days are shorter and somewhat cooler, but there are still leps flying. I encourage everyone to continuing swinging a net (or imaging) as long as the weather holds. However, this year we would like all submissions in hand by Nov 15th. Any vouchers collected after that date can be sent to me later, but these will not be submitted to Reggie until I submit the 2010 vouchers (next fall).
Many thanks for your continued efforts!
Specimen vouchers should be carefully packaged in a well-padded box and dropped off or mailed to me at:
